Meghalaya Chief Minister Scholarship Scheme

This scholarship aims to reduce the financial barriers to education for Meghalaya's youth.

Launched: 25 August 2025

Application Window: 1-30th September 2025 (online through the Meghalaya One portal)

Eligibility: Permanent residents of Meghalaya studying full-time from Grade 11 to PhD in recognised institutions (govt, private, state/central/deemed universities, vocational/diploma institutes). Students in part-time or correspondence courses cannot apply.

Benefit: ₹6,000 per year, transferred directly to bank accounts. Covers students studying both inside and outside Meghalaya.

Documents Required: MHIS card, voter ID/ration/job card, recent marksheet, Meghalaya Bonafide certificate, self-declaration, passport photo

Target: Support ~80,000 students annually, with no income limit.
